5-year strategic initiative plan

Early in 2025 we began a self-assessment called a SWOT:  Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.  The MBC Board of Directors, Executive Team, Year-Round employees and high level volunteers participated in sessions to take an honest look at where we are.

During the 2025 Summer Camp season more than 150 parents, sponsors, children and youth ministers attended afternoon receptions allowing us time to express our appreciation and even more importantly, provide them an opportunity to share their experiences at MBC.  Additionally, MBC staff did a series of Q&A times with campers to hear their experiences.

Our focus was to hear, learn and better understand what those attending camp view as our strengths and areas that need improvement.

Their feedback affirmed what makes Maranatha Bible Camp special:  the transformative experience campers encounter. the spiritual depth of our programming, and the legacy of staff and community.

This work also identified significant areas that must be improved so we may continue to thrive, meet the needs and expectations of our campers, and create space for continued growth in the future.  This includes  improvement and updates, to facilities, communication systems and operations.

We heard you clearly-and we’re responding with purpose.
